Bel-Air Season 3 is what fans can talk about now that we’re practically on the brink of finishing Season 2. The series stars in a reboot of the 90’s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. But we all know the whole genre is different from what we saw in the ’90s.
That drama was fun and hilarious, with comedy and only minor issues with family. Uncle Phil is very hot this time, and the drama is intense. It has crime, romance, and real-world problems like racism and teen issues like therapy and gender norms.
Occasionally, original characters from the ’90s show appear on screen, such as Mrs. Hughes, who has just appeared as the fired Bel-Air teacher. It’s the original Ashley from the original show, and seeing her relationship with the new Ashley was really iconic.
As for Will, we see that he’s still the same from West Philly, but this time, he’s not just getting beaten up by some kids in his hoodie; There were guns and gangs involved, which could threaten his life even when he is in Los Angeles. When he comes to his new life on the other side of the country, we meet the Banks family, who are obscenely rich and loaded.
Summary of the second season of Bel Air
Aunt Viv becomes a mother figure to her that Will’s mom is in Philly. Also, Uncle Phil really took on the duties of a father for him because his father left the family when Will was a kid. We see that Will has an on and off relationship with Carlton, where they are either fierce enemies to each other or fierce brothers who will do anything to protect each other.
We see them in the second type of relationship in the second season. As for Hillary, she is an influencer and business owner with a huge following. She finally moved out of her parents’ pool and decided to open her version of the influencer’s home; She is currently in a relationship with Jazz, a Los Angeles vinyl store owner who is very quiet and friends with Will once he arrives in Bel-Air. As for Ashley, she is still in middle school and is deeply influenced by her race and history.
We see that Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv are a dynamic duo with butler Jeffrey also sharing his personal life on the show. Uncle Phil ran for a DA in the first season but quickly dropped out of the race. He works as a lawyer in his company and is looking forward to expanding his business.
Aunt Viv, a housewife in the first season, decides to retouch her art with the second season. Now she has also won an art fellowship and decided to have an exhibition to sell her pieces. As for Jeffrey, we see that he’s had some issues with Uncle Phil in the past, but they’re all resolved this season when Phil apologizes and asks him back. We just understand that Geoffrey has a son who lives in London, and we’re trying to meet him.
Bel-Air Season 3 renewal status
Bel-Air Season 3 has been officially renewed by NBC for a third season. It shows the confidence the creators have in their show, given that the second show isn’t finished yet. Hopefully, we’ll see the entire Banks family and Will and Geoffrey return for a new cast, along with Lisa, Doc, and Jackie, among the new characters.
Bel-Air Season 3 Release Date
The creators have not revealed the Bel-Air Season 3 release date yet. Despite that, we can only expect the third installment to leak somewhere in the spring of 2024. If filming and production happen early, we could see the new episodes by the end of 2023, but that’s highly unlikely.
