Brayden Erbacher cause of death: The motocross community has been left in shock and mourning after the tragic death of 20-year-old Brayden Erbacher from Ipswich, Queensland.

The young rider lost his life in a freak accident while competing in the ProMX Championship in Wonthaggi, Victoria on Sunday, at approximately 11am.

According to witnesses, Erbacher was launching off a jump when he fell and was struck by another rider.

He sustained a severe head injury and despite the best efforts of paramedics, he tragically passed away at the scene.

The incident occurred in front of hundreds of spectators, who were left devastated by the young rider’s untimely death.

Erbacher was an incredibly talented rider, with a bright future ahead of him in the sport.

He had been competing for years and was known for his determination and passion for motocross.

Fellow rider Max Barrass paid tribute to Erbacher, saying he was “always a genuine person who had a lot to give for the people around him.”

Erbacher’s death has sent shockwaves through the motocross community, with many of his friends and fellow riders taking to social media to pay their respects.

Adam Middleton, one of Erbacher’s closest friends, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, saying, “Today we lost an incredible human. You were an absolute champion. I love you so much and you will forever be with us.”

The ProMX Championship events for the day were cancelled following the tragedy, and Motorcycling Australia cleared the area.

Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing, with the Victorian police and WorkSafe conducting inquiries.

Erbacher’s devastated family, including his mother Corrine, have been left reeling by the loss of their beloved son.

Corrine described her son as a “larrikin” who was happiest on his bike and surrounded by his family and friends.

“Brayden touched the lives of so many and we were so proud to call him our son. His passing has left a void that can never be filled,” she said.
