San Francisco radio DJ Jeffrey Vandergrift Missing
The disappearance of a popular San Francisco radio DJ has prompted worry among fans and colleagues alike.
Jeffrey Vandergrift, known as “JV” on Wild 94.9, a hit music station, was last seen at his San Francisco home around 10 p.m. on Thursday.
The radio station has issued statements on its Instagram page in an effort to keep the public informed.

Vandergrift, who is 54 years old, was listed as “at-risk” on a missing persons report. His employer has stated that there has been no trackable activity on his phone or any charges on his credit cards or bank accounts since he disappeared.
The radio host notably edited the caption of his most recent post on his Instagram page around the time he disappeared.
His edited caption read, “Thank you for a wonderful life-filled w joy, laughs, pain & struggle. It’s been a great journey. Your support & prayers meant the world.”
Wild 94.9 has posted several statements to Instagram about Vandergrift’s disappearance. The radio station is working closely with the San Francisco Police Department and Vandergrift’s wife, Natasha Yi.
The department has stated that “JV is loved by everyone here at Wild 949 and iHeartMedia, and we know he is equally loved by his Bay Area listening family.”
Vandergrift is described as a 6-foot-tall, bald white man who weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and several tattoos on his arms and one above his right ear, police said.
The disappearance of Vandergrift is just one in a series of recent missing persons cases. In another case, a body was found during a search for a missing UK mother who vanished on January 27.
A Georgia mother’s autopsy revealed burns to 80% of her body, but no explanation for suicide. And in a case that was recently resolved, the remains of an Auburn University student who disappeared nearly 50 years ago were identified.
