Jacob Pratt cause of death
The NYPD confirmed that Pratt may have hanged himself and there were no signs of foul play. Pratt, who had worked at Google for almost four years, was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago and held the position of partnership lead.
Following his death, his family set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Michigan foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
The tech industry has been struggling with mental health issues, and Pratt's death has prompted an outpouring of grief and sympathy from colleagues, friends, and the wider community.
In a statement, Google expressed their devastation and provided support to those who worked with Pratt during this difficult time.
The tragedy serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health initiatives in the workplace and society.
