Meet Raul Alexander Cuevas, Idaho man arrested for alleged revenge killing

Raul Alexander Cuevas, a 31-year-old man from Idaho, has been arrested for allegedly murdering Jesus R. Urrutia, the main suspect in the killing of Cuevas’ mother, Michelle E. Luna.

Luna was found mortally wounded with multiple stab wounds in Nampa, Idaho on March 28th.

Urrutia, who was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Luna’s killing, was found dead the next day with a stab wound to his chest.

According to Law & Crime, Cuevas was taken into custody on March 31st, one day after Luna’s murder.

Authorities believe that Cuevas killed Urrutia in an act of revenge for his mother’s death. Police found Urrutia slumped over in his car at a gas station, 20 miles away from where Cuevas was arrested.

Cuevas has been charged with first-degree murder, but authorities have not determined a motive for Urrutia’s death.

Luna’s Murder Sparks Investigation

The investigation into Luna’s murder began on the evening of March 28th when police and emergency services responded to a 911 call reporting her stabbing. Luna was found with multiple stab wounds at a residence on West Grouse Street in Nampa. She later died from her injuries. Authorities identified Urrutia as a suspect in Luna’s killing because she knew him.

Urrutia Found Dead at Gas Station

The next morning, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting another stabbing victim at a gas station.

When Nampa police responded to the call, they found Urrutia slumped over in his car, which was running in the park.

He had suffered a stab wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Raul Alexander Cuevas Arrested for Urrutia’s Murder

Police found Cuevas 20 miles away from the gas station and arrested him for allegedly murdering Urrutia.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office ruled Urrutia’s death a homicide caused by a sharp force injury wound to the chest.

Authorities have not officially determined a motive for Urrutia’s killing, but they believe it was in retaliation for Luna’s murder.

They have not released any further information about Cuevas’ connection to Urrutia or Luna.
