Michael Terence Aspel OBE (born 12 January 1933) is a retired English television newsreader who hosted shows such Crackerjack, Aspel & Company, Give Us a Clue, This is Your Life, Strange but True?, and Antiques Roadshow.

In 2006, he appeared as the narrator in Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show’s UK tour. During July and August 2008, Aspel shot Evacuees Reunited, a five-part documentary series for ITV1 produced by Leopard Films that broadcast from December 15 to 19.

He returned to his childhood haunts, including his wartime home in Chard, Somerset, alongside 15 other wartime refugees. At Forde Abbey, just outside of town, he was reunited with his childhood evacuee gang. Later, he ran upon Audrey Guppy, his 96-year-old former schoolteacher.

Aspel has seven children and has been married three times. In 1957, he married Dian Sessions, with whom he had two children before divorcing in 1961. In 1962, Aspel married Anne Reed, a television scriptwriter, and the couple had twin children before divorcing in 1967.

In 1977, Aspel married Elizabeth Power, best known for her role as Christine Hewitt in EastEnders; the pair had two sons, but Aspel left her in 1994 for Irene Clarke, a production assistant on This Is Your Life.
