Richard Cottingham, a serial murderer, is scheduled to appear before a judge on a murder accusation from Nassau County that goes all the way back to 1968.

He apparently plans to enter guilty pleas in four other cases in addition to this one.
Cottingham, widely known as the “Times Square Torso Killer,” was convicted of more than ten horrifying killings that took place throughout the tristate region.

When 23-year-old New Hyde Park mother Diane Cusick went shoe shopping and never came home, Nassau police discovered DNA evidence linking Cottingham to her murder.
According to police, Cusick was murdered, raped, and severely battered in her automobile. At the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream in February 1968, her father discovered Cusick’s body in the backseat of the car.
Cottingham will appear in court virtually since he is already detained in New Jersey.

According to Cusick’s daughter, who spoke to News 12, she will be traveling from Florida to attend the court sessions.
