Ruth Madoc dead, What happened?

Ruth Madoc has died aged 79 after being rushed to hospital following a shock fall – just a day after she tragically vowed to fans “I’ll be back”.

Ruth Madoc was best known for playing Gladys Pugh in BBC’s Hi-de-Hi! from 1980 to 1988.

She also starred in Doctors, Benidorm, Little Britain and Casualty over a career spanning decades.

The Welsh actress passed away on Friday after she was rushed to hospital following a fall.

Just the day before her death, she had reassured fans that she was on the mend following her fall.

Ruth Madoc, who played Gladys Pugh in Hi De Hi! and Fruma Sarah in the 1971 film Fiddler On The Roof, has died at the age of 73.
