According to a Montgomery County official, Carmen Facciolo, the Assistant Chief of the Montgomery County Police Department, has been suspended.

Montgomery County’s first civilian assistant police chief was Facciolo. In June 2021, he was appointed by County Executive Elrich and formally confirmed by the council.

A department spokesman told FOX 5 that she couldn’t comment on the personnel problem but that Chief of Police Marcus Jones would discuss it on Wednesday.
